Dana’s Biography
Hi I’m Dana and I’m the youngest Fizz Dancer!
Dancing and performing have always played a huge role in my life and
since the age of five I have taken classes at the Willow Centre of Dance
and Performing Arts. During my time at the Willow Tree I have
performed in a variety of shows and to further my experience I
auditioned and became a member of the Devon Youth Dance Company.
At the age of 15 I began to assist and teach Ballet as a senior student at Willow Tree, guiding the baby ballerinas through their first performances.
After leaving secondary school I went to Richard Huish College in Taunton to study A-Levels, and then in 2007 I decided to undertake a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies at the prestigious University of Exeter. Fortunately I have now been awarded a place on the PGCE Early Years teaching programme at Exeter starting in September; this will enable me to work as a Primary School Teacher.
Although my chosen career path is not in dance I hope to be able to inspire and encourage children to dance, both in the primary school and the community, and to transit my own passion for dance to all children.
Anyway, that’s probably all you want to know….except to say that I'm delighted to have the opportunity of working alongside such a professional group that is... Bucks Fizz.
