Bobby G's Biography

Bobby is known to millions of people around the world as an original member of Bucks Fizz.  The only remaining founder vocalist, Bobby has remained loyal to the group since 1981:
"I never set out to be a big pop-star, that just came with our success.  Nevertheless, it has opened doors and allowed me to enjoy all aspects of the entertainment industry, whether behind the scenes during the creative process, or on stage with the huge buzz that I get from performing to a live audience."

Prior to joining the group Bobby ran his own building company and worked as an entertainer in many cabaret clubs.  He was starring in the West End version of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' when he answered the advert for Bucks Fizz.  Following a successful audition the group was formed.

Bobby has worked as a session singer and has written and recorded jingles for commercial television, he has been the voice behind many product advertisements. Bobby has presented  television programmes for children, 'Playabout' being one.  He wrote the title and incidental music and played the lead role in one episode of the  'Dramarama' series.  He has also written several television themes, scoring a hit with the title music for the BBC television series 'Big Deal'.

Bobby sang the lead vocal on the majority of Bucks Fizz songs, including 'One of Those Nights', 'The Land of Make Believe', and 'Talking in Your Sleep'.  Not only has he composed and produced many songs for Bucks Fizz, he has also been involved in a number of productions for other successful artistes.

Twenty-eight years, and several line-ups later Bobby is still very happy as the anchor man for what is now believed to be the best Bucks Fizz ever!
